BC Band & Drumline Fall Semester FAQs
Q - What’s the normal* rehearsal schedule?
A - Renegade Band 6-9:10 PM on Wednesday nights, Renegade Drumline 6-9:10 PM on Thursday nights. The Renegade Band and Drumline both practice on Saturdays from 12:20-3:30pm
Q - Who can join?
A - To be in either group you MUST enroll in the corresponding course at BC. If you’re already a BC student just add the class, but students from CSUB or any other community members can also enroll. Check out “Registration Info” for details.
Q - Does it cost anything?
A - Not much. Enrolling in the course is the biggest expense. Other than that, uniform tops will be provided, but you might need to buy plain black pants/shoes and khaki shorts if you don’t already own a pair.
Q - Do I need my own instrument?
A - If you’re in the Drumline or play marching brass in the Renegade Band, instruments will be provided. Woodwind and trombone members are encouraged to bring their own instrument. If you don’t have your own instrument, please contact [email protected] to learn about your options.
Q - Where/When are the performances?
A - The Renegade Band is at all home football games. The BC Drumline also does all home games in addition to various public performances. See the calendar for details. http://www.bcrenegadeband.org/calendar
